October 16, 2019 – Pittsburgh, PA – PWCampbell is pleased to announce that Jim Gerdun has rejoined the company in the newly created position of Chief Estimator.

Jim originally began his role with PWCampbell in 1992 as a Project Manager. He quickly advanced within the company to lead the Construction Department. In this position he was responsible for overseeing Project Managers for design/build projects and for coordinating plans, specifications, schedules and budgets to ensure complete client satisfaction.

During the course of his career Jim has demonstrated a passion for design/build, a thorough understanding of the construction management process, and a willingness to go above and beyond for each client. “Jim’s dedication to client service, along with his profound problem solving abilities, strong leadership skills, and keen ability to communicate effectively with individuals of all levels, are exactly why we are glad to have him back as an integral member of the team after nine years,” said James Caliendo, President and Chief Operating Officer at PWCampbell.

As Chief Estimator, Jim’s primary responsibilities will include estimating all project costs by working closely with engineers and architects, enhancing the subcontractor bidding process to ensure the best value for clients, and staying current on all materials and labor rates for optimal pricing. In addition, he will use his wealth of experience to recommend improvements to streamline existing company processes and procedures.
