PWCampbell isn’t just a name, it’s a legacy.
Established in 1910, we started as a general contracting company building verandas throughout Pittsburgh. Phillip Wentzel started the company at his dining room table and by the time the second generation was of age to take over, PWCampbell was an established company with a dedication to excellence in the Steel City.
Generations
Second generation owners, Jim and John Campbell shifted the focus to commercial construction, focusing primarily on the banking industry. Their keen business sense recognized that evolving into a design-build company would be a great benefit to our clients and a unique advantage over our competition. By the time the third generation, also named Jim and John, took the reins, the company was a well-respected name in the financial services industry, serving the mid-Atlantic region. This legacy has now been extended to the company’s fourth generation in Erin, Carlin, and Amanda.
Growth Over Time
As the financial industry grew, we continued to grow with it, expanding into new markets and adding new capabilities. With the fourth generation at the helm today, we have evolved into a full-service firm, offering design-build, branch experience, and consulting services, with expertise in architecture, interior design, preconstruction, construction, branded environments, and technology solutions. We meet the changing needs of our clients – all under one roof.
