Objectives of this Role

Primary responsibilities are to provide effective and creative schematic designs to meet project goals and budgets while working with other team members and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage project timelines/schedules to meet client expectations
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of drawings and specifications
  • Apply knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes and building materials
  • Analyze project programming information to create preliminary designs of floor plans, site plans, and elevations
  • Work within defined schedule and budget parameters
  • Generate and illustrate creative, innovative and workable design solutions
  • Complete space planning and adjacency analyses
  • Determine functional and spatial requirements of new structures or renovations
  • Work with team to complete construction permit drawings
  • Coordinate with multiple disciplines to integrate engineering elements into unified designs
  • Resolve project design conflicts as needed
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s quality assurance policies and project delivery procedures
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Follow company policies and design standards
  • Stay abreast with knowledge of competition, commercial design trends, and construction methods

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Registered Architect is preferred but not required. Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Working knowledge of Revit and SketchUp
  • Knowledge of financial institution design and construction is a bonus
  • Willingness to travel to job sites in various states with overnight stays required; travel is not reoccurring but could be as much as once a month
  • Current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in all stages of project delivery: Concept, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration
