This position will facilitate and assist in the land development functions and all other required processes in our Preconstruction Department. Responsibilities:
- Interface with civil and geotechnical engineers, surveyors, environmental consultants, and other design professionals as appropriate
- Complete site investigation/site feasibility reports
- Coordinate land development approvals including researching and understanding the complete process, make all submissions, create and update preconstruction schedule
- Solicit, review for completeness, and coordinate RFP process for land development related consultants such as survey, civil engineering, geotechnical testing, asbestos testing, Phase I & II, Traffic Engineering
- Review survey, civil plans, and geotech reports for accuracy, completeness as required by the project, and general conformity to budgets
- Coordinate utilities with local utility providers
- File, track and expedite building and other building related permits
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 3-5 years’ experience in Site Civil Engineering in a construction/building environment (P.E. license is not required) and the following:
- Outstanding organizational skills – must be able to handle multiple projects and schedules simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills – must be able to interact with others who work in the office and remotely
- Above average ability to work independently and get things done without someone looking over your shoulder
- Above average follow up and communications skills are a must
Working environment:
This position works primarily in the corporate office however periodic travel with some overnight stays is required. Generally, travel requirements will not exceed 25%.
