Ameris Bank ($6.2B assets) has grown steadily throughout the southeastern U.S. since 2009, acquiring over a dozen banks during that time period. The acquisition spree has pushed them over the 100-branch mark throughout their four-state footprint.
However, as a result of the acquisitions, their branches have lacked a consistent brand presentation. Having recently refocused on their founding principles and beliefs, Ameris Bank sought to express this more effectively in-branch. Ameris Bank’s corporate marketing team also needed a consistent merchandising system for acquired branches to replace the hodgepodge of fixtures they’ve inherited through various acquisitions.
PWCampbell developed the prototypical scope, including wall graphics, merchandising fixtures, name signage, office identification, and branded furniture. Once the scope was approved, PWCampbell navigated the unique circumstances of each acquired branch – interior colors, finishes, and potential obstructions – to apply the program to each individual location.
Implementation occurred during conversion weekend. Installation teams, exclusively comprised of experienced PWCampbell employees, successfully installed in all 18 acquired locations from Saturday morning through Sunday night. The branches opened Monday morning with a positive, energized branch environment for both customers and employees.
